i love to eat and sleep n m crazy about the beach…for 20 years of my life i had been deprived of the beach in Delhi…so m trying to make up for it for the past 1 year in this city……
i love capturing every thing on the lens and getttin myself captured too….
I had spent a good amount of time watching documentary films in my 3 years of grads in Delhi….
the only thing i can assure you for sure from this blog is that you might get a better picture of me …but not an entire one for sure….
As part of my college’s covering deprivation trip, i went to cuddalore. it was a great learning experience. it was not just the reporting and interaction with people, but the whole point of getting to know how a handloom is weaved, how does a cashew nut factory work, meeting children in an orphangage, blind school and what not.
I realized that are there are some things which come so naturally to us that we do not realize how privileged are we, how we take for granted some of the basic necessities of life. Now basic necessities is not necessarily is not always the typical picture of deprivation of lack of food, clothing and housing but a lot of other things. Deprivation is so very relative that it does not have a fixed defintion. It is present……….everywhere …but in so many forms and phases…..
this is just the beginning …there is a lot more to come…..
